You are warmly invited to attend the upcoming online research symposium Creaturely Stories-Interdisciplinary Dialogues of Sustainable Humanities Research, organized by the Sustainable Humanities Project (SUSHUM) under the International Research Centre for Cultural Studies (IRCCS) at The Education University of Hong Kong.

Symposium Overview This symposium explores how stories about the creatures we share our world with shape our understanding and actions toward sustainability. Featuring local and international scholars and practitioners from law, animal welfare, natural sciences, and the arts, the event includes two engaging panels and an online screening of the local wildlife short film, Life (Cycle) of the Hong Kong Newt (一生螈命).
Highlights include: -Panel One: Legal and Cultural Narratives on Island and Marine Wildlife -Panel Two: Multispecies Storytelling in the More-than-Human Urban -Online screening of “Life (Cycle) of the Hong Kong Newt" (2023)” 一生螈命 and discussion with wildlife filmmaker Fung Hon Shing
