Short Biography

Birgit Herrmann studied sinology in Würzburg and Beijing and is currently conducting her PhD project on late marriage and voluntary childlessness in contemporary urban China. From 2015 to 2021, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Contemporary Chinese Studies at Würzburg University. Since October 2021, she is co-responsible for the coordination of the Worldmaking project.
